After trying a couple of new patterns, which I pulled undone, I decided to go with an old favourite of mine....Wendy's slip-stich square, for the two bottom ones, using the same light green and variegated yarn as before. Sun was setting as I took the pics, so think shadows account for the couple of grubby-looking patches on the two bottom squares. I never notice these things until I go to post them. :((
A great group of squares, Bev. The slip-stitch squares have such a nice texture, but I just can't stop smiling at those lovable reindeer. They will cheer a child every day.

Adorable reindeer appliques, the children will love their cheerful faces. Ashamed to say I've never done even one of Wendy's slip stitch squares, the effect with two colours making stripes works beautifully within the technique. You may have inspired me to try it myself soon ♥️

Those are such happy reindeer! Those bottom squares are very festive.
Perfect squares, love the effect on bottom two. Thanks for reminding me of Wendy's slip stitch, will make some in green and red.
