Our colour of the month (CoM) is....
During my 'research' I have discovered a claim of 250+shades of pink.....WOW!!
Pink was named as such in the mid-1700s. Before this, pink was simply referred to as a shade of red.
A specific rose tint was created for Madame de Pompadour, a mistress of Louis XV, by the renowned Sèvres porcelain company. They named it ‘pink’ after a flower of the same name. Since then, the name pink has come to represent all forms of pink.

- Oldest color: Bright pink pigments found in 1.1-billion-year-old underground rocks make it the oldest surviving color pigment on Earth.
- Not in the rainbow: Pink is not a distinct wavelength of light on the spectrum; it only appears as a mix of red and purple or by subtracting green from white light.
- Named after flowers: The name comes from garden flowers called "pinks" (Dianthus) rather than the other way around.

Although I had heard the song many, many times and loved it....and had learned some french at school, I just loved the song, but never translated in my head the meaning of the words. I have just googled and it said the direct translation was 'life in pink'...how appropriate! :))
When I worked in childcare, our director would often play a CD that contained an English version of 'La vien en rose', at the beginning of the children's midday naptime. ....I just loved the sweetness of the melody.

Yes, those bunnies are so charming, you just want to cuddle them. I believe that Amy made them, several years ago. Maybe she can dig out her pattern to share with us again??? And, I think she also made the letter P square that is so cute. How much talent can one person have!
