Hiya, Karen here!    The Colour of the Month (CoM) for February 2026 is Grey/Gray which is such a versatile colour as it tones with just about any other colour.   It's a superb choice for textured knitting and crocheting, and it is superb as a Plain Jane square becoming a staple base for other colours to shine.

Grey is the colour of intellect and of compromise.   It's a diplomatic colour, negotiating all the distance between black and white.   We typically consider grey to be conservative, elegant and cool, though it can be a bit mysterious.

  • 25 more Beanies

Still hot here, I've knitted beanies through 3 cricket tests and the Australian Open.  Now it's the Winter Olympics.

    • Wonderful, Sandra. All these beanies must be gobbling up your leftover yarn stash. Winners all round.

    • Such a colorful bounty of snuggly warmth.

    • Sandra you're knocking this 'far too hot' hat spree knitting out of the park!    I just love this fabulous colour play project idea xx    You're doing a cracking job in keeping lots of little heads toasty warm and comforted.   Well done and Th U xx

    • SO many GORGEOUS colour combinations in this collection, Sandra!!!

After some deliberation I have chosen second from left, middle row, as my fave. The colour combo is de-lish.

    • A beautiful collection, Sandra.   Enjoy your sports-themed knitting!

  • Completed blanket. Yet another grim day so of course colours are not true

    • Diane, I love the soft colors in this blanket. I agree with Karen about the placement of your squares and rectangles.

      This blanekts is a winner.

Another FAB design you have created, too!!

    • You've put A LOT of thought and planning into firstly your colour choices, and secondly the careful placement of your squares and rectangular boxes.   A very neat and interesting make.   Well done and Th U Diane xx ♥️
