Hiya, Karen here! The Colour of the Month (CoM) for February 2026 is Grey/Gray which is such a versatile colour as it tones with just about any other colour. It's a superb choice for textured knitting and crocheting, and it is superb as a Plain Jane square becoming a staple base for other colours to shine.
Grey is the colour of intellect and of compromise. It's a diplomatic colour, negotiating all the distance between black and white. We typically consider grey to be conservative, elegant and cool, though it can be a bit mysterious.
I'd love to see examples of your projects posted within this discussion if you would like to share.
I'd encourage 8" squares, handwarmers, hats and completed blankets or panels.

Karen c'est un peu difficile aussi pour moi de me remettre aux chauffe-mains : je me souviens d'une"course aux chauffe-mains" il y a quelques années (mais je ne note rien)et j'en avais tricoté plusieurs dizaines (excellente façon d'utiliser les petites restes) : je pense que pour moi c'est le fait de faire un modèle en double qui me freine mais je vais dépasser mon blocage !

I've gone through my photos + realised I've not made any since November 2022. My Mam used to sew them up for me many years before that, which I really appreciated, that is until her dementia set in. I've made around 500 pairs for KAS. I could knit them all day long as they're great for stash busting xx
I last made some in 2022 as well - there must have been a heartfelt request for them that year!
We did a promo piece to encourage a target of 500 pairs.
