WELCOME TO NOVEMBER
The CoM (colour of the month) is......
BLACK
An understated colour that can go unnoticed until you are looking to make another colour or a pattern stand out.
It is not an 'easy' colour to knit with, if like me, your eyes are getting just a little older.
This month, whatever you may have on your hooks and needles, a little black can go a long way......
It makes a fabulous contrasting colour
Thinking zebra stripes?????
So if you have a little (or a lot) of black in your stash.....
please consider popping a little into a square or two.

I've recently discovered a pattern where you can work Lemon Peel Stitch in the round rather than in rows. This is brilliant news for me as Lemon Peel Stitch is one of my favourites and, given the choice, I prefer working in the round. I can see that I'm going to get a lot of mileage out of this pattern! Just for starters:
Very pretty square indeed!
J'aime beaucoup ce carré Patricia : votre fil pailleté est magique : il me fait penser aux étoiles scintillant dans un ciel d'hiver. Associé au blanc et au rouge il annonce déjà Noël.
Love it! Love the way you're mixing colours with the sparkly black.
Don't ya' just love a great pattern find???!!
This square is GORGEOUS, Patricia!! It REALLY pops. :))
Thanks Patricia...another pattern to research and try. Lovely square, and the black sparkle is divine.

Another stunner, Patricia. That sparkly black is just the right touch. And I'm so glad you found another pattern that makes you happy!
Remind me, please, is Lemon Peel stitch a SC alternating with DC, then reversed on the next row? Oops! I think in American terms, for British terms that would be DC alternating with TC, then reversed on the next row. Is that correct?
Correct!
Thank you!
