What will be on your needles and hooks
this June?
The CoM (colour of the month) is.........
When researching the CoM, I discovered that the colour purple symbolizes many things:
creativity, peace, magic/mystery, royalty....to name a few.
I'm sure you will find at least one of the above in each of the pics below.
Whatever your favourite shade, whatever your favourite stitch........
or whatever project you are trying to finish from previous months.....
we'd love to see it in June.

What an inventory of beanies!! Many thanks Marina...will you fly across the ocean and do some sewing here?
You're certainly blessed with some good friends, Karen.
I need to be more disciplined with my leftovers - they're really building up again.
I get a lot of pleasure every now + again making what looks like a little go a long way. I have digital scales, notepaper, + pen handy, to work some hocus pocus ideas to reduce the leftovers. I now have a bag of quite small balls that I'll probably magic knot together to use during the December theme - then start all over again in 2026.
Question for you Karen, will you use you magic ball together with one solid color? Or maybe if doing 3 panels, will there be different colors in each panel? Just trying to get ideas from the "master mixer" on how to use my own remainders. Thanks for your ideas.
I was very naughty in 2024 and bought way more yarn than I should have. I now have enough to make multiple blankets but each blanket I finish means that I add to the leftovers. The dilemma is, do I keep making blankets to use up the large amounts, or do I leave those for a while and make a start on reducing the smaller amounts? I have been fairly restrained with my purchasing this year but that's mostly because I'm running out of storage space!
I probably shouldn't comment because I encourage being naughty when it comes to yarn buying, but my excuse is that every child needs a warm blanket, so BUY MORE YARN.
Crochet takes a lot more yarn than knitting so we need a good supply to make complete blankets or enough squares for a blanket. My husband is maybe even worse than I am on yarn buying; whenever I "confess" that I found a good sale and ordered more yarn, his only question is, "Did you get enough?"
On the question of making whole blankets versus using leftovers, I find that I can easily get bored with only one project in progress, so I tend to switch back and forth between multiple projects, depending on the mood of the day and the time available to work on them. Whatever you decide, your work is so beautiful, colorful and thoughtful, we will love it all!
If I could crochet as fast as I could buy yarn there would be no stopping me, Sharon!
I'm sitting here looking at the yarn I've just bought (4 blankets' worth), and several boxes of leftovers, and experiencing the exact same dilemma! Almost finished my current blanket - where do I go next?
Karen, I really wish I had the self-discipline (and patience) to magic-knot all those small balls!
Ha ha, I'm right behind you. I sorted my stash by colour + blanket pairings earlier this year, took photos + put the boxes out of easy reach. At the beginning of May I got a box down + have worked my way through it steadily through blues + now purples - that box will be almost empty by the end of June and I will move on to greens and browns within the next box. I've been disciplined + only bought what I've needed to border etc. This method has worked for me - so far!
