What's on your Needles and Hooks in June 2026?

After having enjoyed a glorious month of colour (orange) in May, it is now time to explore

the CoM (colour of the month) in June.

Wherever or whatever you take inspiration from, lets have a bright and beautiful month, again.

Many Thanks Bev for another beautiful month. I'm sad to see this month end, because Turquoise is such a beautiful color, but also because it is now halfway through the year! How can time move this fast when I move so slow???

  I hear you, Sharon! I had sooo much turquoise yarn to use and it's just such a cheery, fun colour.
  
  Yes, when I turned 60, I was sure someone had stolen six hours out of my day....four years later, I'm sure they have stolen a lot more....and someone has shortened the calendar. :))

Mireille made this blanket in 5 days!!! She first made a 60x60cms square using 6.5mm needles, K3P3 basketweave 4 rows per box The borders are done with a Size 6 crochet hook with 2 strands doing stripes involving 4 colours.

Isn't it absolutely stunning!

  There is so much to love....from the stand-out yellow stripe that runs the length each side, to the lighter, alternating stripes in knit, to the detail of a basketweave centre...to the combination of knit and crochet......and the beautiful yarns you have chosen to combine. You are a yarn artist.

  Yes, Absolutely Stunning! I love mixing textures between knit and crochet, and this is a perfect example.
