What's on your Needles and Hooks in October 2024?
There is loads of colourful inspiration around us at this time. In the northern hemisphere it is Fall/Autumn......reds, browns, oranges and yellows, to name a few
and....
in the southern hemisphere it is Spring.....all the colours of the rainbow
And if that is not inspo enough,
the CoM (colour of the month) is.....
PINK!!
Go hard....go crazy....let's see what ya' got.

As Bev says I'm sure the clever volunteers at KAS will be delighted with the blankets, and trust me nothing ever goes to waste. They resize, fix and do the most amazing things with the knitted items they receive. I have a feeling the will use them in the sizes they are now. They look lovely.
I agree with, Bev, these crochet makes look terrific in both their quality and range of colours. Thank you for thinking of KAS + good luck in filling the rest of your parcel weight allowance with more beautiful makes ⭐
Hi Sylvia.
Please do send them. The ladies wiil always use them and they are very good at adding a little here and there as needed to make our blankets/squares to the size needed. The 48 x 48 will just be a little different to the usual 56 x 40, but they will either keep it to that size or add a border top and/or bottom to bring it up to the usual length. Nothing ever goes to waste....that is the beauty of Knit A Square. :))
Hi from over here in W.A..
Thank you Bev, I appreciate your prompt reply. We are working on another 6kg box so this has put us past the half way mark.
Enjoy the rest of your day 🌞
Hi it is Sylvia Aworth in Townsville Australia.
Word has got around about the wonderful work that you guys do. Over the last 3 years I have packaged up and sent a number of boxes the contents of which have been largely passed on to me. Most of the time they have needed very little tweaking in order to meet your requirements. Today however, as you can see by the photo I received a number of knee rugs and 2 completed blankets one 38 x 38inches and the other 48x48 inches They have not been used and the work is beautiful.
Will these be a blessing or a burden to you. Please let me know soon so I can arrange a plan B if you do not want them.
Sylvia
Oh dear, the month is over and my pile of pink yarn is looking very sad at being largely ignored and unused.
On the bright side, my purple stash is ready to go....where to, I'm not sure....hahaha.
Thank you all for making this a great month. xoxo
Go PINK!!
Oh, Bev, I have much the same problem every month. Things I plan to make, yarn set aside to make them ... then the month ends, and there it sits until I just put it all back in the stash, and start on the new month. Oh, well, maybe a better plan will present itself when that theme comes back around.
Lol lol lol lol..... Titter... Lol
A Big PINK Thank You to Bev for guiding us through another productive and creative month. We appreciate your help in keeping us on track, and guiding us to be creative while keeping the children warm.
