I was away on holidays so I'm abit late in saying hello. :) I crochet too and I've found if using thinner yarns that a basketweave square works well...it's double crochet, you just do 3 front post dc then 3 back post dc across the row, for 3 rows then switch it around so you then do back posts above the fronts and fronts above the back posts for the next 3 rows and keep repeating that. I'm amazed how thick it works up and how fast. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too.
