Welcome to KAS, Avril from around the world in Canada where I'm still waiting for the ice to leave the lake here. It's barely started to retreat from the shoreline. The seagulls must find it a bit cold on their feet, I see them sitting out on the ice. But the fields are generally clear of snow now and if the seagulls aren't out harvesting yummy worms then they go to the fast food restaurants and hang out there waiting for hand outs.
I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. I agree, it IS a way for us to make a difference. I love being able to directly benefit a child with a hat, sweater, blanket squares, small stuffed toy or vest. Their smiles are so precious and I get such a great feeling from helping them.
