Hi Bev and welcome to KAS. I joined last November after a 25 year from knitting. I see you only live up the M1 from me. Although I live in Leicester (3miles from Fosse Park) I originate from North Tyneside.
I have found everyone very friendly and helpful on the site. There is so much information it may take you a little time to navigate.
You maybe interested in the Yours Live 2011 event which took place in March at Butlins in Skegness. Linda Simmons has given an in depth report into the event and Carol Playford has posted some photos.
There is a UK group which you may consider joining. Whether you knit, crochet or sew your contribution will be very welcome.
Welcome to KAS, Bev from across the Pond in Canada. I can still get around but I've got a few health challenges myself, not allowed to work drat it and I hear you about feeling sorry for myself on the rough days. Yeah, I really do. Hope we can chat around the boards or via PM. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
