Hi Beverley. I just want to let you know I'm a slow crocheter and don't get anywhere near as many squares done as other people. It's not just having Chronic Fatigue, it's also being busy with what energy I've got! This morning I sat in the parking lot at our church while hubby did something inside the building and listened to the birds and watched the deer and crocheted...I got about half a square done. So don't feel bad about being a slower knitter hon, if I was knitting I'd be crawling. It's great fun to see all the fancy squares people do, I love it, but just don't ask me to do it myself! Hope you have a great week! Love, Jeanne :)
According to my sister, you live in a great part of the world, too. My sis lives in Canada and goes to the UK every year for a month or two. She tells me that she absolutely loves Wales. I remember her ringing me one night about 11.30pm (her time) from a field she was sleeping in...out under the stars!!
A work friend went to the UK last Sept/October and thoroughly enjoyed Scotland. Her two sons have just left to spend 6 months in the UK and she is meeting them over there in September.
We have a town called Beverley in W.A. It is not very big...only about 1500 people...it is just over an hour east of our capital city...in the wheatbelt. That makes it probably about 4 hours from us. Never been there yet...one day....
Just had to say 'Hi' as I am a Beverley. too.....though it used to be only if I were in trouble. Great to see your name is spelt Beverley. When growing up, the other girls I knew with the same name used to be spelt with an 'ly', so teachers etc. used to spell my name the same way.....I thought maybe my mother couldn't spell very well and had got it wrong...hee hee.
Greetings Beverley from across the Pond in Canada! Welcome to a worldwide network of loving happy people helping African Aids orphans. Glad to have you with us. It's so heartening to know that in this global, often so impersonal world, we're actually making a difference, a REAL difference, in the lives of these children. Check out the Forum, above, for the various discussion threads, and Photos for all the lovely photos of members' work and Groups where you can join groups from countries around the world.
The Featured Discussions grouping (in the Forum section) show the most important subjects at the moment, latest challenges, latest news etc. I also recommend the Anyone Want to Chat Discussion section, which contains the Our Furry Companions and Yarnaholics threads. I am so much a Yarnaholic! You joined us just in time to contribute some warm squares, hats and garments for the children, as their winter is approaching as ours leaves. Thanks again for helping the AIDS orphans in Africa!
