Hi Carol and welcome to KAS. There's lots of information on the site but it takes a bit of time navigating, however everyone is very friendly and helpful.
I enjoy knitting jumpers with matching hats. I used 7 different yarns in my last jumper. Recently I started crochet lessons. I'm amazed how much quicker crochet is. Whatever you do all your work will be appreciated.
Happy days, Barbara
Welcome to KAS, Carol, from across the Pond in Canada. You can check the postage discussions to see what cheap options for mailing exist. The U.K. group is often doing events and knit-a-thons to raise postage money, go join in with them. They're always up to something, just click "Groups" above in the header. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
Hi Carol, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children. When you've had a chance to look around the site you would be very welcome to join the UK group for more local news and chat.
