continued ..... don't know what happened there ---- I was just saying that Sophie went to pussycat heaven 3.1/2 years ago, at almost 16 years old. I missed her so very much and still do. Gingi, was a ginger tom who adopted us at around 5 years old and stayed as a very loyal friend and companion until almost 3 years ago at 15 years old. We have wonderful memories and hundreds of photos. I think it is fair to say that, yes, cats are very important to me. Have a nice evening. Bye for now. Angela x
Hi Dawn, good to hear from you. Yes, I do love cats. We are a cat-loving family and we have always had cats in our lives. Sandy and Jessie are brother and sister and are 3 years old. The big story around them is that they were feral! They first appeared in our garden at around 5 months old - we are nearly certain that their mother was killed on the road. We encouraged them to visit the garden and fed them each time they came. To cut a long story short, they now rule the house and we just pad around carrying out their every wish!! I wouldn't have it any other way. Our previous two cats were getting on in years and Sophie went to pussycat heaven at almost
Hi Dawn - it was nice to hear from you. Like you, I just found KAS by chance. I have not knitted for charity before and was just browsing the charity sites. I, too, think it is just a brilliant cause and it being run so well by Sandy McDonald and her family of supporters. The KAS site is just like a big family home and I still come across things that I was not aware of. Everyone involved is just so enthusiastic and inspiring.
I have a little grandson called Alexander who I have started a winter-weight jumper for and I really must get moving on that - I keep getting side-tracked by knitted squares! I am hoping to get some of both done during July - squares for blankets for newborn babies is calling loudly!
I notice that you live in Lancashire - my aunt and uncle lived in Nelson for a few years so I have visited the county. A very nice part of the UK.
Hi Dawn - thought I would say hello and welcome you to the KAS Forum - I think you will find, as I did, that everyone is so enthusiastic, friendly and inspiring. Happy knitting/crocheting. Angela x
