Ronda has expressed the need for a newer vehicle to transport squares and blankets. Helen Flagg has proposed to the US Group that we raise funds to help KAS purchase a car. The idea has gone global and there is an initiative on the forum about it. Check the latest ezine video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VK9mbUrGWI&feature=youtu.be
Also, The Humble Stitch Project has offered to ship all squares received in Florida by Dec 15th to South Africa for us for free. Check out their offer and the address on the Forum in the US Group.

how many squares are we talking about
i have diane sending me 150 squares which i have yet to receive so depending on how many blankets are all ready in the making it may not be necessary for me to receive any more - i will go to the forum and ask around how many more are needed - so for now hold off -
thanks for the offer though - it has been wonderful seeing this all come together - welcome to KAS - i think you will find this to be unlike any other charity - a really great group of positive people
will keep you posted as i learn more
:)
Wow Dorothy that is fantastic! Thanks for your donations. We are noticing that packages take any where between 4-8 weeks to get to South Africa so don't panic if your boxes haven't been listed as yet. I'm sure they'll arrive safely.
Thanks to you and your friends for your dedication, look forward to chatting soon x x x
Hi Dorothy, welcome to our warm KAS community. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the USA Group!
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We are still continuing our July Challenge - keep a newborn warm, making blankets for abandoned babies, and there have been some great results for the August in Africa challenge - you can see photographs under the photos menu. (Details of both challenges in the main forum). We're also embarking on our September challenge which is also under "challenges" in the forum. Although I see you've already made a wonderful contribution, thank you!
Did you receive the latest ezine? If not you can view it here:
Once a month a list is attached to the ezine with the names of people and their contributions. That is how you can see that your items have arrived safely. So far we've had very few parcels go missing. Thanks so much for your contribution already, look forward to being in contact soon.
