We run a challenge each month. For the next three months it is all about squares. We have a grand total of 55,900 squares we are trying to achieve and would love you to participate.
Don't forget to post photographs of your work. We have an awesome gallery of the work of the KAS community which is really inspiring.
Some of our members further support KAS by making a small monthly donation through Paypal (top left hand corner). This is invaluable help as it ensures we can continue to ensure that your work is speedily distributed to the most needy children in South Africa. We are deeply grateful for any donation we receive, be it monetary or squares to help the orphans. Thank you.

Hello Gill,
I'm a knitter too but I've been struggling to learn crochet all this year and I can just about do it now but with difficulty. I keep losing count of stitches which aren't as obvious as they are in knitting and I can barely read patterns but at least I can do what I really wnated to be able to - edge blankets and other items and make simple granny squares. The rest might come but it isn't coming quickly and it's always a relief to flee back to knitting.
The photo is of a puppet ( the pattern is on the site at http://square-circle-forum.ning.com/forum/topics/very-easy-teddy-ha... and the picture was appropriate for me because my husband and I have a bookshop called Panda Books which we are currently in the process of closing as we are retiring.
Looking forward to seeing photos of your work maybe?
Hi Gill, welcome to the forum and the UK group. I hope that you enjoy being a part of this very friendly and helpful community which you will no doubt find as addictive as many of us do. It's a big site now but when you've had a chance to look around if you have any queries there is always someone happy to help. Do you knit or crochet or both?
