Hi Joan, lovely to hear from you. I have relatives in the area you came from I think. Newcastle is not far or is my geography all adrift. I have never been to Vancouver but I was told on my last visit to Canada that it is a beautiful place. Hopefully I will include it in my next trip. I take it you do not miss the UK. My son emigrated 6 years ago and seems to really enjoy the change of pace. Keep in touch. Jean
If you enjoy blankets and baby clothes then the squares are the perfect thing ! I too learned to crochet/knit as a child but prefer crocheting. I'm left-handed and find it easier to use a crochet hook than needles....besides it's much easier to fix mistakes :-)
You will certainly be busy if you are in Kindergarten. I taught Junior/Senior Kindergarten for 33 years. I took early retirement when the province offered it. I really enjoyed teaching but I'm enjoying retirement just as much....now I have time to play .
