Hi from snowy Melton Mowbray - I was wondering if you had seen my post in the UK discussion group about the KAS 10th birthday party I am organising this August. It would be lovely if some of my local East Midlands KAS sisters were able to be there.
Welcome to KAS, Josephine from across the Pond in Canada. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. If you click on Groups, above, you can join the chatty fun UK group or any groups you wish, to chat with. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
And now we’re helping out over in Zimbabwe too and they need everything over there. I just love making a real difference in a child’s life. So welcome aboard!
We look forward to hearing from you in the forum, and hopefully you might post some pics of your completed items. We love it when our members post pics....it keeps us all challenged and motivated, while appreciating the talents of each individual.
Most of all please enjoy being part of our global knitting/crocheting family as we work together to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable children of South Africa. :)
Hi Josephine , welcome to the forum ! We are so pleased you have joined our world-wide family of knitters and crocheters who are dedicated to keeping the children in South Africa warm.
If you have any questions about anything just ask ! There is always someone willing to help with the answer.
Do you knit or crochet ? Everyone loves to see what others are doing so please post photos of your work.
After you have a look around you might like to join the UK group. There you can discuss specific questions that pertain to your area of the world as yarn weights tend to differ by country. Also you can join any other group you would like.
Hi Josephine, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you will enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet or both? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children. When you've had a chance to look around the site you would be very welcome to join the UK group for more local news and chat.
You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu. Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms. For questions click on the Forum tab and then KAS - Questions, Answers and Help.
Very glad your web search directed to you our global knitting family! Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the "Main Page" tab above. There you will find all kinds of information about KAS. Another great section to look over is the Photo tab - everyone is so supportive of the work on display.
