Hi Judy, Please go to the U.S. Forum group for current information about a fund drive to provide Ronda a newer vehicle to take blankets and hats to the creches and squares to the stitchers. Donations in any amount are welcome.
Good news!! The Humble Stitch Project from FL will send our squares, hats, cuddles, vests, socks etc to S.A if they receive them before Dec. 15th. Go to Forum for mailing address. jan Wilcox, OH
I know what you mean Judy, about crocheting in humid weather...the squares are okay, only 8 inches in size, but anything larger...yikes. We were so humid way up here last summer that clothes hung on lines in the basement to dry, which they usually do lickety split, instead stayed damp and got musty. Yuck. Weird weather, we got summer in September last year, I wonder where it's going this year? And yeah, you guys still in a drought down there while just a few hours west of us and south of us there are massive floods. Doesn't make much sense does it? Hope you get some rain soon. My daughter visited Las Vegas earlier this year and at the Hoover Dam they said they're in an 11 year drought. Criminintly. Hang in there! :)
Welcome to KAS, Judy from Canada north of MN where Spring has finally sprung. Wow you guys have been getting nasty weather. Are you okay where you are? I'm a crocheter, my mum was the whiz knitter in the family, but sometimes I take a try at it. I'm slow and the cats love attacking the ends of the knitting needles so usually I just crochet. We've got sewers on here too, everyone seems able to find a way to help. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
