We run a challenge each month. This month it is ‘Make it in May' and we would love you to participate, especially knowing that whatever you make will soon benefit one of our children.
Don't forget to post photographs of your work, either in the challenge month, or in your personal blogs as well as in the photos section of the forum. We have an awesome gallery of the work the KAS community is doing in photos, which is really inspiring.

Hi Juliette. Welcome to the forum. Lovely to have another Brit on board. We seemed to be such a small group when I joined but are gathering in numbers quite well now. I hope you find the forum to be friendly and helpful. I cetrainly do.

Hello Juliette. Welcome to the group.I am sure.like me,you will find a very friendly bunch of knitters/crocheters to keep in touch with.I joined in January this year and have experienced the thrill of sending parcels and knowing the contents are being put to such good use. My son lives in Hunstanton, not far from you!
I was a bit like that, Juliette. I learned to knit when I was a small child but as an adult I didn't very often. I knitted before and after I had my sons but they soon decided that they preferred me not to. I found KAS last summer and now I do spend quite a lot of time knitting. It suits me as I am adequate rather than skilful and I like the small projects. I like making hats best and I found it hard to make plain sqaures - I always seem to end up with at least stripy ones. It is an excellent way of learning though and I am pleased to be able to try out stitches and techniques that are new to me. The photo section as always interesting and inspirational too. I've been trying for ages to crochet but I'm still not very good at it so have to return to knitting. Hope you enjoy being a member and look forward to seeing some pictures of your work.
Hi Juliette,
Welcome to the UK group and I hope you enjoy being a member of such a friendly community. Do you knit or crochet or both?
We're quite near neighbours as I live in Lowestoft.
