Sounds like you have a very busy life....4 children and going to university ! Making squares would be a relaxing way to spend your spare (?) time. One thing about the squares is that they can be as simple or as fancy as you want. There is always a place for a warm square in a blanket.
I've been crocheting for many years so love to try out new patterns. The squares are a perfect place to try a different stitch
Hope your weather isn't too bad. We're have a sunny, cold day which is perfect for northern Ontario :-)

Do you knit or crochet or both ? I can do both but tend towards crochet.
