Welcome to our warm KAS community. It's great to see you. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the Canadian group!
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We have a challenge every month, if you want to get involved please do. It's not compulsory at all but some of the work done is just lovely. Have a look at the November challenge - the SLIP-OVER (under challenges in the main forum) this will give you an idea of some of the fantastic work this community is doing for the children of South Africa. Here is a link to the November challenge photos:
Hi Krista: I live in the U. S. in Virginia. Your last name looked familiar to me because my sister married a Ritchie but he's from here in Va. I thought maybe you were from here also.
Welcome to this wonderful charity; check out the forum and the photos of things that people make all the time! It is very interesting and I have learned so much about knitting/crocheting. I only knit as of now. There are others on here from Canada. I know one lady's name is P. Jeanne Hassler; she is very helpful in her suggestions; thoughts and comments.
You may start out by just making 8" by 8" squares or if you'd like to make garments you can look at the Photos and see what's been and being made and we also have links to patterns (plus pictures) that you can make.
Hope you enjoy this wonderful group of knitters and crocheters!! Any questions, just ask and we'll be more than happy to help you!
