Hi Melina - I was just looking through all the pictures and came across your lovely alpacas again. They must be keeping your very busy. They look so beautifully groomed - do you spend a lot of time on looking after their coats? I hope you post more pictures for us to enjoy. Angela x
Your alpaca's are lovely. They look soft and gentle. Working with them and making yarn must be a very therapeutic way to spend you day. it's lovely to have you in the forum.
I am just getting around to finding you all to welcome you to the KAS community.

Melina, what a very interesting lifestyle you have, although, I'm sure, very hard work. Your alpacas are delightful. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Kind regards. Angela x
Thank you for your comments! I just learned this September. I knew as a young child, but all of a sudden the interest came back and I love to crochet and knit. There is actually only one knitted square, the rest are crocheted. Thank you. Just learning and still trying new things. I love contributing to knit-a-square. I have a strong burden for those in Africa and really love to help anyway I can. I am going back to school for my Masters and the crocheting has helped with some of the stress involved. Has been difficult to go back to school and something I never thought I would do. I am finished in August!!! Yeah!! Just online classes through Liberty Seminary, but still difficult to balance with a family and staying up late nights to do the work. You have to be completely disciplined to do the tons of work. They are only 8 week classes. Anyway, talk to you again soon. Have a blessed day.
Sounds just wonderful!! It would be nice if we were closer. There is an alpaca farm nearby. I may just do that; help them out to see what it is like. I will try and keep those dreams alive. No one would ever see me as a farmer either! You are doing great and I am glad you are so happy.
I would love to be doing exactly what you are doing!! Would love to have land, alpacas, learn to spin their fleece, and use and sell it, also have school groups come. Maybe someday!!!!
