Please go to the U.S. Forum page on the KAS website and read about a new fund-raising drive to raise funds for a newer vehicle for Ronda. She is in great need of a more reliable car to take the blankets and hats to the creches and the squares to the stitchers. A donation of any amount is valuable. Thanks

http://square-circle-forum.ning.com/forum/topics/knitted-ribbed-sli... Nancy, this is the pattern for that ribbed vest you commented on, over on the Facebook page.  If you're having trouble getting it from there, well here it is! :D

Welcome to KAS, Nancy.  I hear you about the orphans of the world, that's so sad about China's orphans, they need to have hope too.  Maybe all it takes is finding a contact on the ground there in China and then putting it out on the web that you're sending clothes, toys and whatever to them.  People would probably join in.  I felt strongly impressed to help with the African Aids Orphans too. So many children needing someone to love them.  Way to go on adopting two little darlings...I have two adopted brothers (not from China, from Canada) and I grew up with overseas foster children (the ones you pay so much a month to support). Giving a "leg up", what's more important than that to a child eh? Knowing they've not been forgotten, that they matter to someone?

I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too.  Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above.  To reach the Discussions just click Forum above. Any questions just PM me. :)  So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
