HI Nicole, sorry to be so long in replying to your query on the Canadian Corner about boxes. I've been off the Forum for a while and am just catching up.
I'm assuming "box" means hard/rigid sides but I will ask someone in the know if this is correct. I'll post on the CC when I have the answer.
It's interesting that people have a preference for either knitting or crocheting. There are very few on this forum who do both with equal ease.
I prefer to crochet and only attempt knitting when it is a simple pattern. I find it faster to crochet, probably because I have been crocheting for many years :-)
How are you surviving all the "weather" you have been having ? Today is a lovely sunny day but there is a nip in the air so we can expect snow any time soon.
Welcome to KAS, Nicole from NW Ontario near the Manitoba border. I'm a crocheter myself, being rather a plodder at knitting. Mum was a whiz knitter. Regardless, I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. If you click on Groups, above, you can join the chatty Canadian group or any groups you wish, to chat with. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.

Hi Nicole,
Welcome to the forum from another Canadian. I'm in Ontario but have visited Newfoundland a few years ago. We really enjoyed our time there.
Once you've looked around you might like to join the Canadian Corner.
Do you knit or crochet ? Please post photos of your squares as we love to see what others are making.
Linda
