      Dear Paula,

Ronda has expressed the need for a newer vehicle to transport squares and blankets. Helen Flagg has proposed to the US Group that we raise funds to help KAS purchase a car. The idea has gone global and there is an initiative on the forum about it. Check the latest ezine video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VK9mbUrGWI&feature=youtu.be

Also, The Humble Stitch Project has offered to ship all squares received in Florida by Dec 15th to South Africa for us for free.  Check out their offer and the address on the Forum in the US Group.

      Hope to see you there!

Hi Paula, good to hear from you. I have been knitting for only 2 years now, and have been incredibly excited to contribute to KAS. My goal for the year is to knit 50 hats for the children. Seven down and 43 to go! Are you going to the Soweto Gospel Choir concert? I don't know how far you are from Philly, but I'm about 1 1/2 hours away. It would be great to connect there!

Hi Paula, it is such a busy time of the year. Today my daughter finish School and broke for the Christmas holidays.
Now it is going to be: decorations, tree, Nativity and lots of baking and catching up with friends and family.
I love it. College is closed and I have more time.
      Hope you are well.
I have to read quite a lot to catch up with KAS and hopefully I will be even. Bye for now. Marina

Hi Paula, lovely to hear from you and good to know that you are recovering well from your surgery. I think 'take it steady' is the order of the day. Don't over do it. It is just amazing how much impact knitting has on the hands. I have yet to learn to crochet, so I can't compare the difference. I must say, there are some beautiful crocheted projects to inspire me; I will get round to it one day.

All is well with me and mine, although my Mum has been in hospital for a few weeks which did tend to put a strain on things a bit. She is home now and we will all be having to keep an eye on things for her.

      Take care. Angela xx

Dear Paula, sorry to have left it once again this long.
By now your hand will be o.k., I am sure and I am so glad to read that you are already doing some knitting and crochet.
Yes, I have to be selective and acknowledge that it is only what I can do at the moment and yes, I am learning not to feel too bad about it. We all learn eventually, I took a while... .
All the best and happy knitting.

The College work is going very well and I am quite happy with it.
Have a lovely day, today. marina xxx

Hi Paula, glad to hear that your right hand is improving all the time. In the meantime, all the best for today, 10th. I shall be thinking of you. Take care. Angela xx

Hi Paula, sorry that I dissapeared for a long while.
I am sorry to hear about the operation and understand how much you are going to miss knitting but it will soon go and coming New Year you will be on the mend in no time at all.
In the meantime, all the best.
The College, Hairdressing and workplacement plus lots of assignments and the family are taking all the spare time.
I love it all but I had to consider resigning from Little Angels as a Coordinator and I will be very much only a members as I can't give physically any more time in Coordinating.
We are sending our square at the end of December but is so much that I start doubting if we can ever afford the post and packages...let's hope.
I re-edited the page to take a lower profile now that I am not Coordinating any more the Group in case you are wondering, while visiting my page.
      Hope you get better soon.
      Love

Hi Paula, sorry to hear about the carpal tunnel problems with your hands. I do hope your right hand is recovering well from surgery. Are you expecting to have your left hand operated on in the near future? Bless you for trying to get back to a little knitting in the meantime. Do take care and don't over do it. Angela xx

Paula, I love your baby afghan - the colours are beautiful and the two types of squares work very well together. Well done. Angela xx
