Greetings Rachel. I know exactly what you mean, I had to do something too. :) I find KAS very supportive and positive and I love that the squares go from my hands to their bodies, direct line. And those who sew the squares into blankets overseas get blessed for helping. Do check out the New Member Guide on the Main Page listed in the header above. Glad to have you with us! I hopped the Pond when I was little but I'm still a Brit at heart. :)
I've been struggling with crochet for over a year now and I have just started some lessons too. Like you I can make a granny but not much else and I still much prefer to knit. Hope you have more success - most people do.
Hi Rachel, welcome to the UK group. I fully agree with Christine's comments, especially the knitting being addictive.
Everyone is so friendly and will help whenever they can. I knit and manage to crochet flowers but I've signed up for crocheting lessons starting next week. I concentrate on jumpers with matching hats, simply because I am not so good at knitting squares.
Welcome to the forum, and the UK group Rachel. Do you knit or crochet or both?
This has become a big site to navigate but if you have any queries just ask and someone will always be happy to help. Everyone here is very friendly and supportive but be warned, this can become addictive. Lovely to have you with us working for a very worthwhile cause.
