      Hi Rachelle
I have travelled round the world a bit and the only place I have found that is a match for Scotland is Hawaii. The Scottish countryside, castles, wildlife, are all beautiful and amazing. I know many people who live here now because it is such a wonderful place and they are hooked (certainly not for the weather). You really should come over.

      Hi Rachelle

Welcome to our warm KAS community. It's great to see you. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the USA group!

There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.

We have a challenge every month, if you want to get involved please do. It's not compulsory at all but some of the work done is just lovely. Have a look at the November challenge - the SLIP-OVER (under challenges in the main forum) this will give you an idea of some of the fantastic work this community is doing for the children of South Africa. Here is a link to the November challenge photos:

Did you receive the latest ezine? If not you can view it here:

Thanks so much for your contribution already, look forward to being in contact soon.

      Happy Knitting!

Hi Rachelle. The main focus for the project is squares as blankets are so useful, simple and important but you will see from the photos that lots of people bring in their own interests, favourites and experiments too. Some make beautiful or very basic soft toys, some buy the occassional one to pop into a parcel. If toy making is 'your thing' then wonderful. We are reminded that these children have no toys, books, activities, and anything we can provide will be loved and appreciated. Just remember to post them with no cost value on the duty label and clearly make the package "for charity, no commercial value". I am sure we will all look forward to you sharing some pictures of your creations.
      Welcome to the forum
