I have just read Death by Cashmere and A Holiday Yarn simply because I saw them mentioned on here. Way to go, enjoyed them both, especially when KAS and knitting squares were mentioned. Will certainly be on the look out for more :)

We will certainly cross our fingers - we go up through NY via 90 which circles three of the Great Lakes - and, we drive - coming from Cape Cod MA, it is quite the journey - however, three children, their spouses and ALL 6 grandchildren will be waiting for our arrival. We are still continuing our July Challenge - keep a newborn warm, making blankets for abandoned babies, and there were some great results for the August in Africa challenge - you can see photographs under the photos menu. (Details of both challenges in the main forum). We're also in the middle of our September challenge which is also under "challenges" in the forum.
