Hello my name is lindsay and i live in canada.. I have friends who moved from cape town to my city and they are expecting a little boy.. I really wanted to make a baby blanket for them as the south african flag but im struggling find a knitting pattern... I was wondering if you would be able to help me please... This is extremely important to me and I know would mean the world to them as sometimes they are a little homesick... The baby is due on January 31st So thankfully i still have sometime to find the pattern and get it done..
Thank you so much for this and looking forward to hearing from you
Welcome to KAS, Samantha from over in Canada. I've been away on holidays so this is a tad late I admit. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. I agree, any small bit I can do to help is awesome. The children of Africa have been on my mind for years and KAS sure has helped me to help them. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. If you click on Groups, above, you can join any group you wish, to chat with. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
Hi Samantha, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you will enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet or both? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children. When you've had a chance to look around the site you would be very welcome to join the UK group for more local news and chat.
You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu. Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms. For questions click on the Forum tab and then KAS - Questions, Answers and Help.
Glad your cousin directed to you our team - no doubt she'll show you how to navigate the Forum! Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the "Main Page" tab above. There you will find all kinds of information about KAS. Another great section to look over is the Photo tab - everyone is so supportive of the work on display.
Oops, I was helping Mrs. Coyne start a profile page and didn't realise I was still logged in to her account. So that message was from me! Sorry Mrs. Coyne!!
