Last year, my friend and I met some of the Aussie crew at Bendigo Sheep & Wool Show and were inspired to get our group, Morisset Spinners & Weavers, knitting squares. Everyone was very generous with their yarn and time and now we have kilos of clothing, toys and squares to send. Of course we were shocked at the postage prices; it will cost us over $100 to send all the items. We don't want to ask our group, mostly made up of pensioners, to foot the bill and have reached the conclusion that it maybe better to send everything to a local charity and donate some cash to KasCare. We feel bad that we have led our members down this path and would like to contribute but don't have any ideas how to make affordable - any suggestions would be appreciated.
