Hi Suzanne. I know where Ottawa is, I pass it all the time when heading to Southern Ontario to go visit relatives, a 1200 mile trek from up here. I just MUST remember to drop in and visit sometime. I mean there's so much to see and do there, particularly the art galleries, museums and such. Is the Ottawa Valley more pastoral or a suburb? It sounds lovely! I've been into New York State so you'd think I could visit Ottawa eh? Tsk tsk tsk.
Hi Suzanne, so nice that you have been sending squares. It is quite relaxing to be able to make the squares and know that they are keeping children warm. I enjoy seeing the chidlren wrapped in the blankets wearing their new hats. Gets my hook moving faster !
I cancelled my Ravelry account when someone hacked into the system. I must go back and re-activate the account.
Celebrating Canada Day with a BBQ was a great idea ! We had a rainy day so put off our celebrations until Sunday. We saw the TV coverage of the royal visit and were amazed that anyone saw the Duke and Duchess.....better to be in Yellowknife with fewer people around :-)
Have you joined the Canadian Corner? We are a bit quiet right now but do get quite "chatty" at times.

Did you get a chance to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge aka Will and Kate when they were in Ottawa ?
Looking forward to photos of your squares....either knit or crochet.
