Hello Trish, don't worry about being average - I can just manage squares, and, occasionally ones with stripes - but that is my limit. In fact, I comfort myself with the fact that plain squares are needed to make the exotic and clever ones to stand out! The children love to compare blankets and discover variations. Squares are ideal for TV knitting - no worrying about increasing or decreasing! It also helps to feel that you are doing something positive whilst sitting during these cold winter evenings.
I'm on St. Albans Market every Wednesday, my brother Nick and I have a wholefood & Herb & Spice stall at the Hatfield Road end of the market. You can contact us on service@sycamore-wholefoods.co.uk if you are coming to St. Albans as it would be nice to say hello.
You can be as active or relaxed about the Forum as you would wish. If you want to sign up to the UK Group, just click on Groups on the menu bar near the top of the page, then find the one with a pic of Big Ben and just say yes to join! As a member of KAS you'll also receive the ezines which Sandy tries to issue every 6 weeks - these contain photos and stories of what is happening - it is great to see that every stitch is making a difference. If you want to see previous ezines, go to K-A-S on the menu bar which will take you to the website, and you find a side-bar list just click on ezines, then previous issues and this will give you a really inspiring read of what happens when knitters/crocheters unite. Anyhow, back to the de-cluttering I promised I'd do. All the best for a healthy & happy 2011.
Hi Trish, welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy this supportive and helpful community of caring people. If you have any queries there is always someone happy to help.
If you would like to join the UK group (or any other) just go to the group, click on Join Group and you're in.
Hi Trish, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet orboth? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and
team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a
difference to many parentless children. When you've had a chance to look around the site you would be very
