Thanks for your commitment to this group Ann - we need your energy! Hopefully, your wait for the eye operation will be over soon and you can get back to your crochet passion - meanwhile take care not to over-do the knitting as we don't want you to get RSI. Yes, our global knitting family are a lovely, kind and positive bunch - please join in with comments, especially on the photos, as it spurs everyone on!
Welcome to KAS, Ann from across the Pond in the middle of Canada. My mum was a whiz knitter but I'm abit of a plodder so I do crochet...and even there I have enough "adventures" to keep me scratching my head. I honestly don't know how some things happen...like an afghan that ended up covering my daughter's entire bed...or KAS squares that taper or expand. At least I'm getting a lot of practice!
I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. If you click on Groups, above, you can join the chummy UK group or any group you wish, to chat with. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
Hi Ann, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you will enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet or both? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children. When you've had a chance to look around the site you would be very welcome to join the UK group for more local news and chat.
You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu. Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms. For questions click on the Forum tab and then KAS - Questions, Answers and Help.
Glad your magazine directed to you our team! Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the "Main Page" tab above. There you will find all kinds of information about KAS. Another great section to look over is the Photo tab - everyone is so supportive of the work on display.
