Welcome to KAS, Bronwyn from over in Canada. My mum was a whiz at knitting, she learnt as a teen in WW2, making herself sweater sets and gloves and so forth. I'm abit of a plodder so I crochet, though I do knit loom hats sometimes. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too and we do try to keep all suggested patterns really simple to do. Even the Go-Overs sweaters are made from a bunch of squares joined together. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. If you click on Groups, above, you can join the Aussie group or any groups you wish, to chat with. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win. And now we’re helping out over in Zimbabwe too and they need everything over there. I just love making a real difference in a child’s life. So welcome aboard!
Welcome to KAS. It is always great to see a new member from 'down under'. This is a global knitting community where we all knit for the common goal of warming vulnerable children of South Africa. You will find this a warm friendly place where we help and encourage each other in this endeavour. Please check out the 'members' and 'photo' tabs at the top of the page and the 'forum' where you will find many engaging discussions. Any queries..you only have to ask and you will find there is always some one able to offer assistance. Enjoy! Merry Christmas.
