Thanks a lot for your compliments about the pullover. I understand from the "thread" below that you have become a member of the forum not so long ago. I started in November 2010 and I really enjoy knitting or crochetting for KAS. It is an added value to my life and I hope with every stitch I do, to get closer to a smile on the face of a child. wish you succes :-)
For information on mailing the squares, click on the K-A-S tab at the top of this page under the photos of the children. Then when you get to the K-A-S page, scroll down and look at the menu on the left side. You will see "Postal instructions." Click on that link and it will give you all you need to know about mailing the squares. Postage can be expensive to South Africa so some people mail one or two squares at a time for about 80 cents per square. I usually wait until I have 10 or 20 squares and mail them in a lightweight plastic mailer (from Staples or CVS). That costs about 70 cents per square. We've had a yard sale to raise money for postage and that helped! Anytime you have a question, feel free to write! I love the photo of you with your adorable dog!!
Welcome Kizzy! Glad to have you with us! Do visit the Main Page, listed above in the Header, to find the New Member Guide link, which includes my rather convoluted way to get to the Discussion Pages. I'm sure it'll be simplified eventually, it's just how I get there. :)
I find Knit A Square so inspiring to work for. We really ARE making a difference, one child, one square at a time, we're brightening lives and giving hope. Oh, I live in the "frozen North" aka Canada, two hours drive above International Falls MN. Welcome!
Welcome to KAS! We are so glad you joined this group of stitchers from around the globe. Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the Main Page tab above. You'll find all knids of info about KAS there. I live near Philadelphia so, globally speaking, we are almost neighbors!
