Ronda has expressed the need for a newer vehicle to transport squares and blankets. Helen Flagg has proposed to the US Group that we raise funds to help KAS purchase a car. The idea has gone global and there is an initiative on the forum about it. Check the latest ezine video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VK9mbUrGWI&feature=youtu.be
Also, The Humble Stitch Project has offered to ship all squares received in Florida by Dec 15th to South Africa for us for free. Check out their offer and the address on the Forum in the US Group.
I think you have to pay for the ones that have 75 credits underneath them, so I'm sending you the free one which just happens to be an AIDS ribbon, how appropriate!
You can use which ever type of yarn that you like all we ask is that you mark whether it is acrylic or not when you send the squares/items to South Africa.
Thank you for your contributions, that is wonderful.
Do you mean the gifts on the forum? I think it's just a quirky little thing. Nothing important just a virtual gift that you can give to people if you feel like it. To be honest I've never tried it but I'll see if I can give you one now!
Welcome to our warm KAS community. It's great to see you. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the USA group.
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We have a challenge every month, if you want to get involved please do. It's not compulsory at all but some of the work done is just lovely. Have a look at the November challenge - the SLIP-OVER (under challenges in the main forum) this will give you an idea of some of the fantastic work this community is doing for the children of South Africa.
