I am glad to be friends with you ladies. You do great work and itsn't it great to feel useful? Besides KAS I am active in HAP ( Homemade Afghans to thank our armed forces project), and was active with Share a square but this is their last year for awhile. Of course also still making pillows with Mom for injured servicepersons. Jan
I am thrilled that you asked me to be a friend. I look forward to news in my inbox or even in the forum .Love to all the knitters and supporters over there!
Hi Chris, Can't wait to "meet" the rest of the ladies. I keep considering contacting more care homes around here but at the moment I forward knitting from about 30 local ladies and it stretches my fund raising for postage to the limit. But hopefully in the future... It is such a great two way project - the ladies have a cause and a purpose and the children benefit - if we could get this going in every care home just what a difference it would make to all.
Welcome to KAS, Chris from across the Pond in the middle of Canada. That's fabulous that your residents want to help out. They will be angels to these children, giving them warm clothing and blanket squares, hats and even knitted toys. We've very glad to have you all with us. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. If you click on Groups, above, you can join the UK group, whose members are always on the go, or any groups you wish, to chat with. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
And now we’re helping out over in Zimbabwe too and they need everything over there. I just love making a real difference in a child’s life. So welcome aboard!
