Hi Dawn
Hope you are feeling better? I just have catarrh now but felt unwell during the past week. I've just seen your scrapbooks etc and all your work is great, I'm sure somebody is going to love the things you make.
Just wondering, I've written to Anne Powell about the KAS cuddle sack, but you might know, if it takes 400grms of dk used double, would it only take 200grms of Chunky used singly??
Also, do you have an Aldi store near you? I've just found out that from Thursday 18th Feb. they have special offers on wool, 500 grms of double knit for £3.49 I think it is? Baby wool £2.?? for 250 grms, sorry can't remember the right amount now, but it's on their website, www.aldi.co.uk.
Not been to the bungalow this week as I needed a break from it, but as I finish work on 4th March I'll soon have time to work on it.
Bye for now, big hugs Lynn
ps it's been like a Spring day here today, bet it'll be cold tonight though!
Welcome to our warm KAS community. It's great to see you. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the UK group!
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We have a challenge every month, if you want to get involved please do. It's not compulsory at all but some of the work done is just lovely. Have a look at the November challenge - the SLIP-OVER (under challenges in the main forum) this will give you an idea of some of the fantastic work this community is doing for the children of South Africa. In answer to your question about American Size 7 needles it's also a Size 7 (4.5mm). There is a little credit card sized conversion chart at this site which is quite handy http://www.thelittleknittingcompany.co.uk/index.php?main_page=page&.... Hope that's some help.
