Welcome to KAS, Denise from up in Canada above MN. Sorry I'm tardy, my Inbox got away from me while I was feeling poorly for a bit. :P I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above. Any questions just PM me. :) Welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
Welcome, Denise! So glad you joined us. To learn more about the website, click on the "Main Page" tab above and scroll down until you see a link for the New Member Guide. If you have any questions, this is a good place to ask!
Hi, Denise, and welcome to Square Circle Forum! I live in Pennsylvania, just a state or two north, yet I've never heard of the fascinatingly-named Midlothian, Virginia! I'm a devoted fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, and that name is straight out of his Middle Earth universe! I expect brave warriors and wise and noble elves to dwell in halcyon peace in a place with such a name!
Anyway, after that flight of fancy, I wanted not only to welcome you, but to mention that you might want to join the US discussion group. It's one of the most active on the website, and full of friendly, helpful people. Recently, we adopted two South African creches, or child-care centers, and are currently waiting to see pictures of the centers and the children they serve.
And if you're interested in producing squares at a brisk clip, you might also try the group called "A Square a Day," whose members try to keep to the pace of the title.
