      Dear Donna,

Ronda has expressed the need for a newer vehicle to transport squares and blankets. Helen Flagg has proposed to the US Group that we raise funds to help KAS purchase a car. The idea has gone global and there is an initiative on the forum about it. Check the latest ezine video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VK9mbUrGWI&feature=youtu.be

Also, The Humble Stitch Project has offered to ship all squares received in Florida by Dec 15th to South Africa for us for free.  Check out their offer and the address on the Forum in the US Group.

      Hope to see you there!

      Donna,

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you...we were in Vermont when I read this and I'm still getting back to my rhythm! Getting a group together sounds like a good idea. Finding a central meeting place could be tricky... but I'm interested. Melissa hosted us at her apartment last time. I can host here in Melrose Park sometime if that's convenient. Thanks for taking the initiative to get this going!

Hi Donna, adding sides to a square can be tricky.  A couple of tips:  a smaller hook might help; counting the stitches on 2 sides, if it's a granny square; making sure the first added round is absolutely flat.

Now, the second problem might be the corners.   I find I work best with hdc around and then (2hdc, ch 1 2hdc) in each corner.

Try these and if you have any questions just ask.  I'm always happy to help a fellow crocheter.....don't ask me about knitting though LOL

Dear Donna, Thank you so much for your compliments. Like all my other KAS sisters, you all are always sooo kind! I saw the pattern on Ravelry. It was uploaded by Carola Wijma under "Celtic Knot". She gives a very clear description accompanied with pictures and clear instructions. The knot consists of three separate small parts. Wonderful that I could surprise you with an Irish Design, the symbol of Solidarity. xoxo

If you mean Hibachi, then I know it well. My husband plays there from time-to-time! Dave is a vegetarian and I am an almost vegetarian so we don't eat there but I can appreciate the ambiance and the views. Hope you enjoyed it!
