I posted my squares today to Africa so that's me well on my way to joining the KAS group. I am so pleased I found this KAS site and hopefully I'll be sending more squares soon.

Below is squares I am sending to Africa and am I right to say that I can't post photos of work that I am not sending to Africa. Thanks for all your warm welcomes and to Harrisons Mom I was born in Pollokshaws Glasgow, a long long time ago.
Hi Elizabeth, welcome to the forum and UK group. I am in Glasgow so it is nice to have a fellow Glaswegian about. If you have already made some 10" squares then you can still send them. The ladies are very good at working with a few odd sized squares by collecting them up until they get enough for a blanket however if you can try to make future ones 8" then this would be easier for them to work with. Lovely to have you on board and we look forward to seeing your efforts.

Welcome to the forum I join in November and have sent 3 parcel to Africa at the moment I am making hats because winter is only 4 months away and it take a few weeks for the parcels to get there.
Welcome to our warm KAS community. It's great to see you. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the UK group!
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We have a challenge every month, if you want to get involved please do. It's not compulsory at all but some of the work done is just lovely. Have a look at the November challenge - the SLIP-OVER (under challenges in the main forum) this will give you an idea of some of the fantastic work this community is doing for the children of South Africa.
