Hi Erin,
in Durban there are a number of shops called 'Waste Centre' - misnomer if ever - but they sell very thick blanketting' cut into small sizes which they call dog blankets. Thought if I said this on the main forum I'd be shot down in flames! However, they are very thick almost felted and would keep out the cold. Cheap and hairy but with a blanket around the little ones they could be an alternative until something more suitable could be found. I'm sure something similar is available in Jhb.
Hi Erin,
I will make a few more "noughts and crosses" games and send them together with instructions.
Thanks for posting the photos of your Uncle Pete. He must have been a fun person to have around. He looks so happy being with family. Your time together must have been very special. Hold on to your memories ! They are a great help.
Hi Erin,
I have made a crochet X's and O's (think you call it "noughts and crosses") game. I was going to send it in one of my parcels but have a few questions.
1) Would you have a need for this type of game?
2) If so, would you like me to make more?
3) Do I need to include instructions for the carers/children ?
Thanks for your help.
Linda
Hello Erin
I am arriving in Johannesburg on Thursday 19th November this year, staying in the Protea Hotel Wanderers. I am spending three weeks in South Africa, my first visit, watching England play the One Day Cricket Series against South Africa. I wanted to ask you how far the Soweto Comfort Club is outside of Jo'burg ? I would love the chance to meet the ladies who process all of the work that is sent whilst I am there. I am with an organised tour and shall be at The Wanderers for the day/night game on Friday 20th and at Centurion for the 2nd ODI on Sunday 22nd. We fly out of Jo'burg on Monday 23rd bound for Cape Town. I think my "free" time will be the morning of Friday 20th and all day Saturday 21st.
