Ronda has expressed the need for a newer vehicle to transport squares and blankets. Helen Flagg has proposed to the US Group that we raise funds to help KAS purchase a car. The idea has gone global and there is an initiative on the forum about it. Check the latest ezine video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VK9mbUrGWI&feature=youtu.be
Also, The Humble Stitch Project has offered to ship all squares received in Florida by Dec 15th to South Africa for us for free. Check out their offer and the address on the Forum in the US Group.
Hi, Hanna! I live in the Philly suburb Radnor, and am looking into starting a Philly-area discussion group. I noticed one or two regional groups popping up lately. This might be a good idea to make it easier to get together for a knitting circle from time to time, talk about regional yarn bargains, etc. What do you think?
hi Hanna, you are our newest member! Thank you so much for joining and for your contributions already with regard to the Soweto Comfort Choir.
Consider yourself officially welcomed to our warm KAS community!
We are still continuing our July Challenge - keep a newborn warm, making blankets for abandoned babies, and there have been some great results for the August in Africa challenge - you can see photographs under the photos menu. (Details of both challenges in the main forum).
Did you receive e-zine no 12? If not you can view it here:
Look forward to chatting to you soon in the forum more about the Choir and perhaps meeting them and of course about anything we can do from KAS to help. Sandy
