Hi Kitty, glad you like the elephant sweater....it was a labour of love as I'm not a knitter.  Much prefer crocheting :-)

Do love your avatar cat. Beautiful colours !

Welcome to Knit A Square Kitty from the middle of Canada. So glad to have you with us!  You can click on any of the titles in the header above, including Photos which shows you what some of our yarn artists are up to.  I'm more into churning out the plain squares myself but it's fun to look at some of the artistic ones.  Also you can click on Groups and join any you would like to.  Any questions just ask us.  :)

Hello Kitty, so glad you’ve joined us. Keeping the children in South Africa warm has brought together a world-wide group of caring knitters and crocheters.

If you haven’t already, please read through the welcome message on the forum main page for helpful hints and things that might interest you.  http://forum.knit-a-square.com

If you appreciate a “challenge”, you might like to join the Monthly challenge.  This is a fun way to try new ideas.  Every month, a theme is chosen to challenge the forum members to create something new and different......it could be a new colour, a different stitch or a totally new way of knitting/ crocheting.  An 8” square is the perfect size for experimenting.

This month’s challenge is  Japan, The Orient & a Flavour of the East

Please have a look at what some of us have made and then join us in making a square of two that is your representation of the Far East.

And as always, making the basic square is a wonderful way to relax and still help the children.  Plain Jane squares, as they are affectionately called, are the backbone of KAS.  They are always needed.

Whatever you decide, we would love to see photos of your work.  Click on the photo option at the top of the page, click “Add”  and follow the prompts.

      Enjoy

Hello Kitty and welcome to KAS.  It is always heartwarming when a new person signs up and wants to help to keep the children warm.  I am a distance from you down in Shropshire but there may be some other members near Leeds.  Good to have you with us.
