Greetings Louise from across the Pond in Canada! I'm late to this away on holidays but welcome to a worldwide network of loving happy people helping African Aids orphans. Glad to have you with us. It's so heartening to know that in this global, often so impersonal world, we're actually making a difference, a REAL difference, in the lives of these children. Check out the Forum, above, for the various discussion threads, and Photos for all the lovely photos of members' work and Groups where you can join groups from countries around the world.
The Featured Discussions grouping (in the Forum section) show the most important subjects at the moment, latest challenges, latest news etc. I also recommend the Anyone Want to Chat Discussion section, which contains the Our Furry Companions and Yarnaholics threads. I am so much a Yarnaholic! Thanks again for helping the AIDS orphans in Africa!
Hi Louise and a very warm welcome to KAS from Norfolk UK. We are a very friendly bunch so please feel free to ask any questions, there is always somebody with an answer, as I have found out!
Do take a look around the site using the tabs at the top of the page. The photo section has some wonderful pics of peoples work and when you feel ready it would be great to see some of your work but it isn’t a necessity to do this. It’s a great place for ideas and inspiration to keep the children warm. Happy knitting/crocheting. :)
Welcome to this great group and project. I've only been a member for a few days, but WOW! lovely people!
I'm not in Yorkshire ...but we can see it from the hill behind us! We also visit places like Boroughbridge (for woodworking supplies), Coldspring Mill for wool, and sometimes Texere Yarns for.. yarn! actually for rug wool for my partner's mother who makes latch hook rugs as therapy for her arthritis etc.. One day perhaps...Is there a decent place for wool/fabric/wood/... near you?
Welcome from Shropshire Louise! I think we must have quite a group in Yorkshire now - I know it's a big county but it would be great if some of you could meet. We are very sparse in Shropshire! So pleased that you have joined us - what do you like to knit or crochet?
