I see you are on line. Good to have another Aussie on board. I am just looking at the photos of your work scrolling by. Great variety. Al look warm and snug. Good job. Goodness there are three Maureen's on line now!!! :)
Welcome to KAS Maureen, from over in Canada. It's so heartening to know that in this global, often so impersonal world, we're actually making a difference, a REAL difference, in the lives of these children. So glad you can join us! Check out the Forum, above, for the various discussion threads, and Photos for all the lovely photos of members' work and Groups where you can join groups from countries around the world.
I have been to and thru Bibra Lake quite a few times, but many. many years ago. My sister used to live a few suburbs away. Lovely to hear that you will be visiting our beautiful state. I hope the weather is kind while you are here. Are you flying or driving over?
Great to hear that you have recruited your daughters as well. I have 3 sons and I don't see them knitting any time soon..lol.
Welcome, Maureen, from suburban Philadelphia in the USA. So glad you joined us in this wonderful project. We can make a difference in the lives of children in SA affected by AIDS!
Hi Maureen, welcome to the forum ! We are so pleased you have joined our world-wide family of knitters and crocheters. We are dedicated to keeping the children in South Africa warm.
If you have any questions about anything just ask. There is always someone willing to help with the answer.
Glad to read that you are already knitting ! Everyone loves to see what others are doing so please post photos of your work. Just click on the photo section at the top of the page and then follow the prompts.
After you have a look around you might like to join the Australian group. There you can discuss specific questions that pertain to your area of the world as yarn weights tend to differ by country. Also you can join any other group you would like.
Hi Maureen and welcome to KAS from sunny (and also quite cloudy) Western Australia.
I am not familiar with your town...is it in the NT or QLD perhaps?
I am so glad you have joined our global knitting/crocheting family...I love your enthusiasm....but be warned it becomes highly addictive and one can be resentful of things that take one away from knitting for this cause. e.g. work, family and the outside world...lol.
If you haven't already done so you may like to check out the forum by clicking on the tab at the top of the page...that too, is addictive...then there's the photo section where you can view other members' work and the tab is also at the top of the page.....also very addictive.....and inspirational.
But most of all...please enjoy being part of this great cause and having the chance to 'meet' friendly like-minded folk. If you have any questions please ask...we are here to help.
