      Greetings from NYC.

I love that handwarmers pattern by Katy Chantrell. Here is the pattern.

      Hello Pam. Welcome to KAS.

Where are you from in Cheshire?  I ask because I was born in Upton and lived for a while in Birkenhead.  But my parents moved to Shropshire when I was still very young.  I now live in France.

I think you'll enjoy being a member of KAS. We're a very friendly bunch.

Hi Pam and welcome to the Square Circle Forum, home of Knit a Square.

My name is Amy and I am one of the Moderators from the USA.

We hope you enjoy the different discussions that cover all aspects of KAS.  We hope that you will get to see your work arrive in The Barn or better yet wrapped around a child during a distribution.

Please feel free to add a comment or two to photos or discussion.  This site is a little challenging at the beginning but with a little practice it is very easy to navigate.

I look forward to seeing some of your work on the Forum.

This is good news, Pam!  The children love to receive soft cuddly toys!  Blanket squares, hats, handwarmers and soft toys are always welcome.   You can check out our KAS Pattern Book for patterns or you can create your own.  I hope you will share photos of your work by posting them in our Photos section.  I'm always inspired by the work of other forum members, so I'll be anxious to see your work ... xo

Hi Pam!  A very warm welcome to you! I'm Gloria ... affectionately (I hope :) known as glo. From my home here in Eastern Canada I love to knit, crochet, and Tunisian Crochet.

A desire to share our talents by knitting and crocheting warmth and comfort for the children in South Africa warm has brought together a wonderful group of caring crafters from all over the world. You’ll find many of them here on our Square Circle Forum. We are delighted that you have joined us.

You can move around the forum by clicking on the various tabs above.
Photos is where our crafters post photos of their work.

Under Helpful Hints, Shipping Instructions and Packing Slip, you will find answers to many of your questions.

Our KAS Blog is where Leanne Hunt brings the KASbarn to life for us through her words in That Warm Fuzzy Feeling.

Under Groups, you may find a group specific to your area or your craft.

The KAS Shop is one place where you can assist KAS financially. 100% of every purchase of a downloadable item in the KAS Shop goes directly to Knit-a-Square to enable Ronda to continue our vital work!

If you are able to contribute financially, donations are welcomed at any time. Every now and then we run a fundraiser to help with  the many expenses Knit-a-Square is faced with, such as Rent on the KASbarn where our parcels are opened and sorted, fuel for the KASvan to distribute our blankets, and a handling fee of $3.75 US charged by the South African Customs and Excise for every parcel that arrives from overseas, regardless of size!! If I could offer you one good mailing tip, it would be larger parcels, fewer mailings.

One of the many great things about Knit-a-Square is the photos our volunteers in South Africa take and share with us - photos of our squares on the sorting tables - photos of our squares in blankets - and best of all, photos of our squares in blankets wrapped around the beautiful children! We actually get to see our work in action!

You will be welcomed into any of our discussions so come on in and put your feet up, grab your yarn and hook/needles and enjoy. You are among friends.
