"I'm overjoyed to see that 7 of our 9 parcels from the Arinopa Café Tricot in SAINT Vaury have arrived. These ladies have worked so hard and created a warm, cheerful group which includes 2 super knitters far from their homes. One is from Afghanistan…"
"In France we can declare a minimum value of 0,01€.
We don't have a special small parcel rate unfortunately and all our rates went up at the beginning of the year."
Hi Valerie - Madge Nimocks here! I've knitted a couple if squares but just not sure they'll be right....I;m such a basic knitter - I'll see if I can attach a photo! Thank you.
Thank you Valerie! I'm excited to part of square circle! I'm trying not to be intimidated by these awesome photos! What a fabulous initiative. Just started my first square!
Hi Valerie. Thanks for your message. It's good to be part of this group. I've got my first batch of 35 squares ready to dispatch. Can I ask a dumb question? The instructions talk about packing in bags; but I have a cardboard box. Is there any reason why I shouldn't use that instead? Kind regards, Kate
Thankyou for the welcome. I am currently wrestling with a square in Herringbone stitch which I am learning from a youtube video. It has to be just about the slowest stitch to knit up!!s
Since lockdown, I have been trying to learn a few new stitches as previously only a garter stitch and stockingette knitter. Hoping to send out a few squares soon when we are able and have tried my hand at the armwarmers too.
Feels good to be apart of something so worthwhile.
I've heard of "corner-to-corner" before, but never learned it. Tomorrow at our local crochet guild meeting, they will teach the "corner-to-corner", so I am looking forward to learning it! I'm going to try this stitch for my squares!
Hi Valerie, thank you for approving my request! It is really amazing to see many photos in here, those squares and items traveled from all over the world. I am looking forward to doing the same, as my small humble efforts... Looking forward to being a part of this good cause :)
