Well you've joined us at the UK group - excellent. Hope you find the crowd here to be friendly. They are usually a nice bunch and very supportive. Like you, I think many people here have used the forum to cut their teeth in the world of computer communication. You will often see frantic messages from others who are trying to do something or get somewhere and there is always another member ready to give a helping hand. I look forward to hearing about the response from your knitting group. It would be lovely if some of them wanted to support KAS too. It is always a satisfying way to use up all the odd bits of yarn too that knitters and crocheters seem to gather.

Hi Pat,
Welcome to the Forum (and the UK Group). It's great to have people who are members of knitting groups - one or two others in the UK are in groups and have been successful in getting the others in their groups interested in knitting for KAS. Everyone is very friendly and supportive and if you have any queries someone will always be pleased to help. It does take a while to find your way round the site but it's worth having a look, especially at the Photos I find.
Hi Pat, click on 'groups' at the top of this page, click on 'UK' then click on '+ Join UK'.
It should be fairly straight forward. Quite useful to share some local chat especially when someone finds a store with a good deal to share with us all.
Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to our warm KAS community. It's great to see you. We hope you will enjoy the forum and your region's group. You should join the UK group!
There are lots of great discussions going on in the forum, including the monthly challenges.
We have a challenge every month, if you want to get involved please do. It's not compulsory at all but some of the work done is just lovely. Have a look at the November challenge - the SLIP-OVER (under challenges in the main forum) this will give you an idea of some of the fantastic work this community is doing for the children of South Africa.
